London Gatwick Airport (LGW) Hotels Guide

Gatwick Airport has a number of on-site and off-site hotels around its two terminals.

Getting between the North and South terminals is actually very easy, so you don’t necessarily need to pick a hotel next to the terminal you’re using – just take the free 24 hour shuttle train between them.

Connected to South Terminal

The South Terminal contains the train station, and is used by British Airways (as well as a number of other airlines). There are three hotels connected directly to it (click the names for further information):

Bloc Hotel Gatwick (Tripadvisor)- This is quite a unique airport hotel, as it is located centrally within and above the South Terminal. The main entrance is next to the entrance to security (for departing flights), so it couldn’t be any better located for an early morning departure. Its rooms are compact but very modern, and some have excellent views of the runway (but expect to pay extra for this).

YOTELAIR Gatwick (Tripadvisor) – This is also located within the South Terminal itself, with small futuristic rooms. These can be rented by the hour, so it’s a good choice if you need somewhere to rest between flights during the day.

Hilton London Gatwick Airport (Tripadvisor)- A conventional Hilton hotel accessible by footbridge from the terminal.

Connected to North Terminal

The North Terminal is the main base for EasyJet, and has three hotels located alongside it (click the names for further information):

Hampton by Hilton London Gatwick Airport (Tripadvisor)- this hotel is closest to the terminal, a 30 second walk away from the EasyJet bag drop.

Sofitel London Gatwick (Tripadvisor) – accessible by covered footbridge from the terminal, approximately a one minute walk.

Premier Inn London Gatwick Airport (North Terminal) (Tripadvisor) – Premier Inns are cheaper hotels but tend to be good value. This hotel is not directly connected to the terminal, but is only a 30 second walk away, across the drop-off road. There are lifts and escalators to take you between the road and the terminal.

Shuttle Bus Available

The following hotels are located near Gatwick Airport and have a shuttle bus available from both terminals (click the names for further information):

Courtyard London Gatwick Airport (Tripadvisor) – A pleasant Marriott hotel. As well as the shuttle bus, this hotel can be accessed on foot by a 10 minute walk from the South Terminal.

Premier Inn London Gatwick Airport (A23 Airport Way) (Tripadvisor) – A good value hotel, located near the North Terminal. As well as the shuttle bus, you can also access it through a 5-10 minute walk from the North Terminal.

Travelodge Gatwick Airport Central (Tripadvisor) – A ‘no frills’ basic hotel, located 5-10 minutes’ drive away by shuttle bus.

Holiday Inn London – Gatwick Airport (Tripadvisor) – A mid-range hotel, located 5-10 minutes’ drive away by shuttle bus.

Other Options

There are some hotels in the wider area that can be accessed by car, taxi or local buses 4, 5, 10, 100 and 200. You can use Google/Apple Maps transit directions to see how to get between each hotel and the relevant terminal you need to get to. Click the names for further information.
